Cable control devices are used to control cable systems for traction current supply for direct-current railway vehicles and trolley busses. Devices for operation with auxiliary power as well as those with direct power supply from the cables to be controlled are both available.
Control of insulating clearance conductor – shield and shield – earth as well as checking the shield for failure is possible. Furthermore, the devices can be adapted for specific requirements (operating conditions, alarm signalling / initiating, taking into account voltage drop in supply and return conductors, etc.).
